How To Reuse Basil (And Other Herb) Stems
Use these tips to limit your waste when cooking!
What To Do With:
1) Green Stems (ex: basil, parsley, or cilantro):
These stems can be cut fine or tossed into anything you're cooking in the same way you would use a bay leaf.
2) Large Stems
These are easy to remove once they've cooked with the rest of the meal. Large stems are a great addition to sauces, soups, and even stirfrys.
